I heard a fitness trainer on YouTube say these amazing words and they’ve stuck with me since. As of mid 2026, my business is more of a fun side hustle, but I’m going to keep working on it, because making videos and helping people is my favorite thing to do. 

I’ve gotten this far mostly by giving things away. Yes actually giving things away, not “it’s free if you buy something,” not “it’s free if you tell your friends about me” (although I do appreciate that) -it’s actually completely free other than the time it will cost you to set up a project – which doesn’t have to be much.

For service based businesses, I can show up to a job site completely unsupervised and make an amazing promo video, zero planning or prep. Now that’s not how we do a normal production, but if you’re in a pinch for time, I’m letting you know we can make something pretty cool for you without a lot of time investment on your part.
